Australian laws make it hard to gain a firearm and borderline impossible to use it in self defence

Someone would have to break into your house with an equal or greater (higher dmg) firearm and give you time to retreive the weapon from the safe + bolt, mag and ammo from separate safe, construct it and then defend yourself
