Yeah, that's a shame. I think the worse I've witnessed was last year. We found a baby chicken running loose through our yard well after chick season- We raised it from hand for awhile it was super needy. He grew up to be a big douchebag though.

We had this turkey... the turkey didn't know any better and thought the roo was just another hen. But then the rooster dug his way into his pen some fucking way and started attacking the turkey (we were totally oblivious to this of course) - I was the one who found him after we'd been searching for hours. I had a bad gut feeling so I went into the turkey's pen and found him there scalped with one eye missing

The turkey had obviously put up with it for awhile since there were scratches all over his chest and neck. It looked like the turkey only hit the roo once.
