that's a bit exaggerated

2018-07-21 17:42:00 UTC

its pretty boring

2018-07-21 17:46:27 UTC

I was actually in a 4chan thread about chloroform fetishes (of course it was fucking 4chan) and some guy actually went through the legalities of getting chloroform in Canada, which turns out to be legal, while another guy went through the medical effects, and a third guy went through the appeal of it. The thread's dead and no longer in the archive, so I'm going by memory.

So in Canada, the chloroform is legal because it ends up in a number of household items anyway. Being an inhalent, it's illegal to purchase for the purpose of consumption, but... really come on, this is put in a list with things like paint thinners, spray paint, room deodorisers, and goddamn ***G L U E***. It's kinda painted as something that's intended for everyday use in its raw form. Citation: http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cycp-cpcj/dr-al/inhalant-eng.htm

The medical effects of chloroform were kinda iffy, no one could seem to agree. One guy thought the effects were no more severe than weed other than the added symptom of passing out, there was one guy who was saying it could cause brain damage, and it was either him or a third guy that believed it could be so severe as to cause death, but no one provided a source to my memory. There was a clear conensus however, that it would be better to use another substance that was far more flamable, but had less medical effects. I can't remember the name of it, but one attribute of it was that the static electricity of it shifting containers would be enough to set it off.

The third thing was that someone thought that the appeal of chloroform was the intimate process it takes to actually render a person unconscious; it requires a lot of close, physical contact, and must be done for a while before the drug takes effect. If someone were to find this appealing, then the fact that chloroform doesn't work like it does in the movies would be beneficial to them and how they percieve the fetish.

Taking part in the thread myself, I did have my own bit to add; a lot of people brought up the perception that the fetish was partucularly sick, and while I don't disagree, I would have to point out that there is a difference between going about this like a mouth breathing, window-licking oxygen-thieving moron, and someone who actually has a clue. There are communities around it that take it very seriously rather than just doing it for shits and giggles and “oh look at us we’re so kinky.” The people who generally partake in this kind of thing know what they’re doing, work out safe words or phrases, and are responsible with consent. It’s not like some bad 50 shades passage. For example, most people who partake in BDSM know not to use zip-ties in place of handcuffs; zip-ties only tighten, can damage the skin, and if the building ever caught on fire, you’re outright fucked if you didn’t leave enough room to cut them.

I'd also be willing to bet that most people into chloroform fetishes also know to not actually go out and chloroform someone in the street, it would just be like roleplaying incest or whatever. How the hell do you think PornHub gets away with all it’s stepmother videos? They’re just actors, and they know what they’re doing.

sorry about the ~~mess~~ copypasta

2018-07-21 17:51:38 UTC

Chloroform fetishes are a red flag, if you ask me. I’d categorize that alongside enjoying Fortnite, and rape fantasies.

2018-07-21 17:51:54 UTC

>enjoying fortnite

2018-07-21 17:52:06 UTC

HOW FUCKING DARE YOU MY GOOD SIR?!

2018-07-21 17:52:19 UTC

Hey, opportunity struck.

2018-07-21 17:52:28 UTC

and here I though we all respected each other...

2018-07-21 17:52:29 UTC

What am I supposed to do?

2018-07-21 17:52:42 UTC

I'm joshing ya

2018-07-21 17:52:46 UTC

is that the word?

2018-07-21 17:52:48 UTC

joshing?

2018-07-21 17:52:59 UTC

that's an odd word to use for kidding...

2018-07-21 17:53:00 UTC

Yeah, I’ve used it fairly recently.

2018-07-21 17:54:57 UTC

I prefer joshin over giving guff.

2018-07-21 17:55:13 UTC

Heyy

2018-07-21 17:55:27 UTC

Makes me wonder which Josh was responsible for that phrase.

2018-07-21 17:57:19 UTC

Back to the topic at hand, here's the thing: BDSM fetishes have been getting less and less niche with the advent of things like 50 shades, and it's kinda annoying. When something is viewed as trendy and the mainstream gets involved in it, you know it's gonna go downhill at one point or another. Pretty soon, we'll have people that don't understand that the hell they're supposed to do to be responsible, and the genuine community will get branded with the hell that is the fallout of everyone and their mother that didn't work out the damn safe words beforehand.

2018-07-21 18:06:46 UTC

That applies to anthing, not just to BDSM and other kink things. Imagine with the PewDiePie meme subreddit. The ***~~__`N O R M I E S`__~~*** invade the site with their "do you know de wey," dabbing, and other 2016 meme cringe. Suddenly, the rest of the internet that has invested in memes is looking at the subreddit and thinking that's all it is.

2018-07-21 18:07:09 UTC

Whats wrong with dabbing

2018-07-21 18:07:41 UTC

I oughta sturmgewehr you...

2018-07-21 18:08:05 UTC

I oughta dab on you

2018-07-21 18:08:22 UTC

I think people should just be able to come by getting head. Solve a lot of fetish issues straight away.

2018-07-21 18:08:49 UTC

Good old fashioned box eating, and throat fucking.

2018-07-21 18:09:14 UTC

you know, they likely already do that, but with leather spandex instead of bare naked dad bods

2018-07-21 18:10:05 UTC

If i want my girl to dress up as an amine character and have her quote her favourite hentai while im widening her asshole i should be able to do so

2018-07-21 18:10:32 UTC

You should, and we should be able to say it’s weird.

2018-07-21 18:11:58 UTC

Some people might get into BDSM because they're bored with vanilla sex, some people might do it to experiment, and some people might have some deep-rooted Sigmund Freud stuff going on, but the fact of the matter is that there are dangerous ways to go about it and safe ways to go about it. As long as people are being smart about it, I really don't ahve a problem with it.

2018-07-21 18:12:59 UTC

As for anime, I'm not touching that issue with a 10-foot pole; it basically re-opens every single sexual and pornographic controversey, but in a specific art style and lolis.

2018-07-21 18:13:59 UTC

I don’t care what people do during sex. But I do think certain things are weird, and if someone brings it up in a public forum, I’ll say so.

2018-07-21 18:14:28 UTC

If someone wants their asshole pissed in, I’ll be like, “That’s some fucked up shit, man.”

2018-07-21 18:14:58 UTC

well that's the basis of free speech right there.

2018-07-21 18:15:09 UTC

are we really gonna get into that shit as well?

2018-07-21 18:15:26 UTC

We’ve already agreed without saying a word, so no.

2018-07-21 18:15:34 UTC

fair enough

2018-07-21 18:15:59 UTC

Lolis make you a pedo

2018-07-21 18:16:05 UTC

^

2018-07-21 18:16:11 UTC

Like Rocco, wanting all of us to see him naked. That’s a weird fetish.

2018-07-21 18:16:22 UTC

Rocco is a bit of a nutcase
