no it's lazy content because it's EASY and is constantly done. Regurgitating content that relates to the fringe crazed christians gets boring as it does now. I agree with the constants BUT gamers play DIFFERENT games and politics changes drastically especially nowadays.

There are only three games that YouTube gamers could possibly play, 1) the AAA title that everyone and their mother are talking about, 2) a good indie title that took time and care to create their game, 3) the obviously bullshit indie game that looks like the butt of a joke.

That to me looks like a far shorter list of game archetypes than there are of crazy christian archetypes, and CERTAINLY a far shorter list of the arguments that they make.

Christian arguments can change over time as they have done not only since the Crusades, but also since 2010. Games on the other hand are and always will be limited to the “Seven Basic Plots” rule (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Seven_Basic_Plots) not only in their storylines, but also in their game play and mechanics.

Making a video reacting to either the first few hours or even the entirety of a game’s mechanics can only be regurgitated so many times before you notice a pattern as many people have done with crazed christian response videos

Not to mention that the YouTube gamers aren’t even making the games themselves, but rather reacting to them either on the surface level with “oh that’s so cool,” or by looking into the game and it’s mechanics with criticisms of story line or item and weapon balancing.

The only people I’ve found to break this cycle are The Mighty Jingles who commentates over games like World of Tanks and Jurassic World Evolution as if they were a sport (which I’m sure isn’t new), and cleanprincegaming who tends to look at the marketing aspects of games in contrast to their development and game mechanics (which I’m still sure isn’t new)

I don't really watch gamers anyways I watch reviewers.
