As near as I can tell, it was around the point where Bernadette and Howard had fights over Howard going to space where she started to get abusive

also i feel like just as sheldon does carry a lot of responsibility for his relationship being messy, leonard seems to spontaneously mess things up with penny and then penny is just like "stfu"

Sheldon is very obviously written to be an oblivious ass to everyone even though we KNOW he knows better at this point, with Amy existing to do nothing but take the brunt of his autism, Penny won’t let Leonard have any sort of opinion that differs from hers, and Bernadette is just overly hostile to everyone

I wonder if most people who are actually as intelligent as Sheldon IRL [I heard there are legitimately some people with his intelligence] are as quirky as him but in different ways

The writers are so out of ideas that the only way they can keep it even REMOTELY funny is to have everyone constantly stomping on each other, and that only gets people so far

I’d say “most people” but the show is showing no signs that it was ever going to lose its fanbase

very creative marketing idea though like many big bang theory fans would wonder how sheldon was in his childhood since he talks about it at length
but idek it's still not quite what i would expect

I’d argue that would be correct if the show weren’t just more of the “look guys, people have to put up with how awful Sheldon is” joke that the big bang theory played to death by season fucking three

If they tried to make it a more serious character drama like House (i realize thats a medical drama, but bear with me), then MAYBE it would have been good, but without character interaction that doesn’t revolve around sheldon, that can’t happen. It’s like the problem Stephen Universe has, because the show has to always have him on screen, it limits the development of the other characters to the point where all we see of them is how pissed off they are at how Sheldon is.

If they tried to have character-specific side-stories like House, then MAYBE it would have been worth watching

But no

The only plot point is Sheldon’s autism and his intelligence

That is the only thing the plot revolves around, other than the “bad guy of the episode” excuse of a conflict that every episode has to have, like religion or video games; conflict points that the big bang theory already went over
