the phrase is paint drying

clothes dry way faster than paint does

since clothes are just cotton with a bunch of water in it which is super porous

but paint is like 40 percent water by volume so it will take exponentially longer for water molecules to evaporate since they are stuck in the thick gloopy paint

so it’s kind of a compliment you used the insult in a bad way
