A perfect overhead flux core weld
only taken me 2 months to be able to do it
its about 6.8ft above my head
Knowing how to weld is so usefull you can literally craft anything you want
damn, nice job
yeaah lkzambie, honestly would love to learn how to weld
That’s so sick
when i was in high school i was on the robotics team. Would have loved to learn to weld but we sent those parts out because we didn't have an area set up to do it.
oh man thata too bad
yeah, we had a welding helmet though. every so often someone would put it on and run around the shop
I think the art class at my school has a mini welding project at one point, and I'm hoping the teacher does it again this year
lmao nice
fingers crossed for ya
yeah, and that's one of the tame things that went on....
i mean we were totally safe all the time
we had safety glasses which made throwing wrenches safe
robotics team sounds like a good time
because that's how it works
it was but it's stressful because of the time crunch and it takes up a lot of your time
ah, yeah makes sense
my school tried to have a robotics team.. but lego made robots??
yeah lego has robot like capabilities
with only four people on it, two gals and two guys, none of them knowing anything about robotics
are you outside the US?
the supervising teacher also didnt know anything
yep why
in the states FLL is reserved for elementary school age. there isn't exactly a set rule about it as far as i know but
FLL?
FIRST lego league
ah
yep
nah it was in highschool
that's common outside the states. i went to worlds and visited the FLL competition and there were a lot of foreign teams with teenagers
the principal asked a few kids if they wanted to try, then we spent like 6 meetings goofing around with legos and trying to program the electronic part we were adding to them and then went to a competition where we were completely annihilated, but was still pretty fun
ah okay, yeah we didnt really learn much about anything about all that
it's definitely an enigma of it's own
also sounds about right for a robotics team of any level
lmao nice to know
