apparently bc i am a mother and an adult i am supposed to have more empathy according to other "moms". i have quite a bit of empathy being i have delt with similary situations. however, that doesn't mean wasting energy in being overly emotional on situations i can do little to nothing about it just seems like a waste of energy.

I don't think your personality or way of viewing things has to change if you become a parent, as long as you take care of your children and give them the care they need
