^ typically there's no reason to behave in a certain way due to being in a certain demographic (unelss the demographic requires it in order to be a member)

I saw that a man who is in an area not too far from me was convincted of rape and endangerment of the welfare of a child, and his bail was really low so he was able to get out, and then the day after he goes out and kidnaps a young girl. Nothing happened and I think he ended up back in custody, it's concerning that you can easily pay bail for such a serious conviction

But I'm not involved with the situation, it was just something I saw on the news, so I'm not personally emotional over it

so I'd say your personal involvement really is what determines how much you should be emotional about it. You still exist in the same legal system as them, but you don't know them and the incident didn't affect you at all
