I’ve snapped back at a couple customers, but my managers like me enough that they just gave me a slap on the wrist.
👀
Hmm a podcast
I don’t do it anymore, just when I was first starting out.
Customers are ignorant, but if you snap back at them they aint gonna pay your salary anymore so it's better to just stay silent
Talking nonstop for hours about random stuff
Seems fun
Noided
Seems fun indeed
I’ve got the voice for it 🤷🏻♂️
At least I can put it on. I’m good at voicework
Retail sure is fun when you have social anxiety
Atleast it helped me actually be able to talk to people
Food service is a nightmare with social anxiety. I’ve gotten over it for the most part, but I need a better profession. My cousin’s actually gonna teach me how to weld.
Dumb question
What is food service
Like working in restaurants?
Yeah
Taking orders
Fast food, waiting tables, cooking, etc.
That something I'd never do
Atleast retail is more indirect customer service
I kinda want to wait tables, I can be charismatic even if someone’s being a dick to me, I’d get tipped pretty well 🤷🏻♂️
Ah yeah
This tipping thing in america
Wait you ain't in America Miko??
No, european
Kinda fucked up that they like
Dont give enough salary to waiters, to the point they have to depend on customers to pay extra
Havent looked much into our system but afaik waiters over here have never been depending on any tips, we just give when we receive outstanding service
Tipping is sorta fucked
If you don't do well you either get no tip or like a cheap one
I heard they take part of the tips you receive? So customers can tip you and you dont even get all of it??
That i don't know for sure
I better hope not
I think some restaurants allow the waiters to keep the tip
Or maybe the customer slides the waiter or waitress a tip that they can keep
I saw a pic of a tipping bill or smth
Where they write down the amount and someone gave 10 bucks and wrote down 0 so the waiter can keep it all
//gtg gonna be back later
