Most of it is free @Blaundee

2019-05-06 13:05:35 UTC

But pills and such you pay but its not expensive

I'm good, getting ready to go to the beach

2019-05-06 13:06:40 UTC

In the UK, we have "free" healthcare via the NHS. It all comes out of your taxes, but ultimately it works well-ish.

2019-05-06 13:07:52 UTC

And as for pills, you just get a prescription written by a doctor, and you collect your medication from a pharmacy.

2019-05-06 13:08:01 UTC

Yes here also you pay taxes and you can see the doctor who works "privately" but you have to pay for every test he does on your body

2019-05-06 13:08:13 UTC

Yes but here you have to pay that medication

2019-05-06 13:08:28 UTC

Yeah, same here, though 97.5% of medical institutions are through the NHS.

And I just got health insurance which is crucial to the US healthcare system

2019-05-06 13:09:01 UTC

And some of them you can get without a doctor per example ibuprophen (idk if thats what you call it)

2019-05-06 13:09:41 UTC

Aye. Here you do indeed have to purchase the "over-the-counter" medications such as ibuprofen.

Some places won't take you without insurance

2019-05-06 13:10:12 UTC

But anything that goes under your prescription is paid for via the NHS.

2019-05-06 13:10:45 UTC

Oh thats great aryn

2019-05-06 13:10:48 UTC

Everytime I go to the US, even if its for a day, I get travel insurance

2019-05-06 13:11:00 UTC

Indeed, Slaviis.

I was just lucky that someone higher-up at the other mental health facility that takes insurance only offered me a spot there

Back when I had no insurance

2019-05-06 13:11:21 UTC

Damn.

2019-05-06 13:11:47 UTC

I'm assuming that getting insured in the US is a big deal.

Yeah

Quite expensive unless you're disabled, then you automatically get insurance

Which is in my case

Since they determined me disabled back in February

2019-05-06 13:14:06 UTC

Ah, fair enough.

2019-05-06 13:14:23 UTC

Blaundee where did you travel when you were in usa

2019-05-06 13:15:10 UTC

I've had to be admitted to several psychologists due to my severe anxiety disorder, agoraphobia and depression. Thankfully it's all covered under the NHS.

2019-05-06 13:16:27 UTC

So basically, I've been for some sessions to assess my mental health. In a few months time I go back and will get regular sessions to help me.

2019-05-06 13:16:29 UTC
