what the fuck
lol i got banned for saying the word retarded
like wut is going on
I heard you were talking abput underage drinking. Here not all stores will ask for your id but when i was in italy they did ask me for an id for cigs, and since it was a croatian id the woman looked at it for 10 secondsπ π
I drink beer most of the time but 18 is perfect for legal stuff honestly
21 is too old imo
<:repfedora:279423798971990027>
Lol right?
21 as minimum age for anything is stupid
18 means adult
You can vote at 18
And get a license at 16 and a permit at 15 π
voting should be 30+
<:hyperthink:462282519883284480>
No i wanna have a voice in my government asap haha
24 I think is when you should be able to start driving but like I am also thankful 16 yos can drive so they can do stuff to help out with their parents or such
Or get away from their parents
I tend to hold that if you're old enough to die for your country then you're old enough to at least drink
Exactly
π
Haha πππ
I also personally hold that, so long as you aren't harming anyone else, you should be able to use whatever recreational drug you want
^
18+ ofc
The funny thing is I'm straight-edge af
And yeah, definitely gotta be a legal adult but otherwise it's all fair game
unpopular opinion: if you wanna get rid of socialists, just fix capitalism
Also potentially unpopular opinion: maximum voting age
theres a reason why people enter far left cults in the first place
maximum voting... ehhh not sure
(btw the minimum voting age 30 thing was a joke)
There comes a point where the mind is just not as sharp as it used to be and your ability to understand the world and keep up with the insanely fast-paced changing ways of life we live in now is sorely diminished. I believe that this can and does affect how one perceives political candidates and the platforms they support. Perhaps, instead of a strict age cap on voting, strict comprehension tests should be implemented to show that the voter (regardless of age) fully understands who and what they're voting for.
I also firmly believe in mandatory voting. Make it a national holiday or something. Also make sure that there are essentially 'abstain/no vote' options for each thing being voted on.
No because we would all be kicked out and all the colleges professors would be in charge haha trust me i have this conversation in one of my government classes
...huh?
Comprehensive tests to vote would be like getting citizenship
That really doesn't make any sense to me
The only people that really know about the constitution, the bill of rights, DOC, and etc and be able to pass the test would be people who have studied history and government
