I don't know anything about what environments are in which state so I apologize in advance for being a dummy about it lol

2019-07-10 03:56:55 UTC

I can see the air in New York

2019-07-10 03:57:27 UTC

And Maine is like, all trees

2019-07-10 03:57:34 UTC

No worries at all. If you dont live around here it isn't surprising

2019-07-10 03:57:50 UTC

I dont know much about eastern coast

2019-07-10 03:57:58 UTC

I've been to Seattle so my impression of Washington is: mountains and ocean

2019-07-10 03:58:10 UTC

I'm preeetttyyy sure it's at least half desert as well

2019-07-10 03:58:39 UTC

But people dont realize it with the pacific northwest. I mean. It's high desert, so it isnt completely barren, at least

2019-07-10 03:59:01 UTC

it's that weird desert with those funky shrubs and stuff aint it

2019-07-10 03:59:08 UTC

Yeah

2019-07-10 03:59:23 UTC

It's generally a little colder than normal deserts. Not cold by any means though. And tooons of sagebrush

2019-07-10 03:59:36 UTC

And if you dig in the ground you'll find seashells

2019-07-10 03:59:45 UTC

Sounds similar to southern BC. dry and hot but also cold, lots of plants

2019-07-10 04:00:09 UTC

British Columbia?

2019-07-10 04:00:26 UTC

Yeah

2019-07-10 04:00:47 UTC

Oh cool, I didn't know they had the high desert all the way up there too. That's nice to know. I love the desert

2019-07-10 04:01:08 UTC

I see tons of animals everytime I'm there... Which is at least twice a month.

2019-07-10 04:01:41 UTC

yeah the city of Kamloops is right in the middle of that hight desert. it's cool to see if you're not use to it

2019-07-10 04:02:29 UTC

Nice :P I was born in Bend here in Oregon. Which is in the High Desert. I wish I still lived there. The Willamette Valley is miserable tbh

2019-07-10 04:03:57 UTC

You know what's miserable? Central Alberta. I hate it there

2019-07-10 04:04:14 UTC

I havent been to Canada yet. I would like to. But not for the cities

2019-07-10 04:04:32 UTC

Isn't there any hiking there or something?

2019-07-10 04:04:47 UTC

it's that kind of prarie flat where it's got just enough foothill in it that you can't see very far but you can't see anything over buildings as it's too flat.

2019-07-10 04:04:55 UTC

it makes me claustrophobic

2019-07-10 04:04:56 UTC

Oof

2019-07-10 04:05:43 UTC

If you like hiking there's a lot of that in BC. Up in the Rockies!

2019-07-10 04:05:47 UTC

@Farunel plenty of nature here

2019-07-10 04:05:49 UTC

Can't say theres much for flatness here. But it's still miserable. I5 corridor in general from Portland to Eugene is... yuck.

2019-07-10 04:05:58 UTC

The people don't help.

2019-07-10 04:06:39 UTC

Which is funny, considering I'm liberal. Most everyone here is liberal. But I like eastern oregon people more

2019-07-10 04:07:16 UTC

People in Hawaii are nice.

2019-07-10 04:07:18 UTC

@Blaundee Where you at Blaundee?

2019-07-10 04:07:25 UTC

Toronto

2019-07-10 04:07:39 UTC

I heard that, actually. I'd like to visit Hawaii at some point. My worry is avoiding the crowds though. I dont do well in crowds

2019-07-10 04:07:40 UTC

but as @April said, plenty of nature in the west coast

2019-07-10 04:08:17 UTC

Well @Farunel if you want to avoid the crowds then come to the big Island. It's way less touristy and the locals are really nice

2019-07-10 04:08:37 UTC

The best cities to go to are Kona or Hilo

2019-07-10 04:08:48 UTC

I'll definitely research it. I'd mostly be there for hiking in any case, dont care about the helicopter rides and stuff as much.

2019-07-10 04:08:54 UTC

They're cool. But too much socializing

2019-07-10 04:09:19 UTC

Repzion went to Hilo a few years back

2019-07-10 04:09:26 UTC

Oh man the big Island is awesome for hikes and such. I actually did a trail ride on a 10,000 acre cattle ranch there
