poor Washington, what did it do to deserve that kind of curse on its lands
He
He's unworthy of the pacific northwest
*Sees a pretty wetland*
he's unworthy of... Anything really
**destroy**
In other news I realized the redwoods are only 5.5 hours away
We just bought some camping hammocks finally and we're going to take a trip there next weekend
It's weird as hell that cali is so close
Yet going to southeastern oregon took 8 hours
the US is a wacky place
@Shattered Underestimates the size
You're a wacky person
it's wacky cause there's a lot of stuff in it
uh thanks?
Canada is different cause everything is really spread out
Yeah and it's more or less similar environments
Meanwhile most people I talk to do not realize that most of Oregon is desert
I imagine Washington has it's fair share too
I don't know anything about what environments are in which state so I apologize in advance for being a dummy about it lol
And Maine is like, all trees
No worries at all. If you dont live around here it isn't surprising
I dont know much about eastern coast
I've been to Seattle so my impression of Washington is: mountains and ocean
I'm preeetttyyy sure it's at least half desert as well
But people dont realize it with the pacific northwest. I mean. It's high desert, so it isnt completely barren, at least
it's that weird desert with those funky shrubs and stuff aint it
Yeah
It's generally a little colder than normal deserts. Not cold by any means though. And tooons of sagebrush
And if you dig in the ground you'll find seashells
Sounds similar to southern BC. dry and hot but also cold, lots of plants
British Columbia?
Yeah
Oh cool, I didn't know they had the high desert all the way up there too. That's nice to know. I love the desert
I see tons of animals everytime I'm there... Which is at least twice a month.
yeah the city of Kamloops is right in the middle of that hight desert. it's cool to see if you're not use to it
Nice :P I was born in Bend here in Oregon. Which is in the High Desert. I wish I still lived there. The Willamette Valley is miserable tbh
You know what's miserable? Central Alberta. I hate it there
I havent been to Canada yet. I would like to. But not for the cities
Isn't there any hiking there or something?
