😂
almost threw up bc of suspense
hell yeah
Proud of you @heartattac
Congrats!
My dad doesn’t live with us and hasn’t really been in our lives. Now he’s showing up n shit and it’s like walking on eggshells. He’s always drunk. Even takes my alcohol
He’s drank my wine, 4 smirnoffs and some mud shakes.
And he constantly says how if he does anything for me it’s deducted from my braces cost. Paying for my braces is the only thing he’s done for me and he acts all heroic. Like he’s sacrificed something.
My dad is very self involved. Though he may have changed a bit. His current wife has stage 4 cancer. So I do feel bad for him. I havent talked to him much in the last few months.
Oh that’s horrible
Yeah I've never wished him happy father's day but I did it this year \
half of my family is super conservative evangelical preachers and my mom works for a local catholic church
I honestly dont know what my dad believes because he changes it for whoever he's around
My dad gets in fights with me all the time. Disowned me as his daughter. Forgot my birthday this year. Threatens to rip my braces off my mouth. Sends me awful texts
my parents arent bad except for the fact that I am at extremely high risk for childhood ptsd and show all the symptoms (don't have a diagnosis because any form of mental health facility is used as a threat)
My mom and one of my sisters are agnostic, then me and my other sister are just atheist
im apatheist
I've done my time as an admin of theology and philosophy debate groups and I decided they're all just idiots wasting their time
I’m Wiccan. Though I count it as more spiritual. I also like Buddhism
If your opinion can be changed by reading an essay by some old white guy do you really have an opinion
But I also lean towards atheism
Agree
I like learning about other religions and spiritual ideologies but I dont really believe in anything
I've spent the past few years just talking to different people all over the world and learning about their life experiences and their morals and I base my morals and reasoning on those collective stories
In my opinion that's real philosophy
I agree. That’s kinda what I do in a sense
I remember talking to my mom a couple of years ago about it and she was telling me about how she is agnostic because she WANTS to believe there is something out there. I told her I dont really think there is, and she told me "But isn't that scary". I dont know. Question caught me offguard because I never really thought about it in that regard :P
You don't learn about human behavior or the meaning of anything by reading essays by extremely educated people
Education is a privilege
you only get part of the story with that
It's still important to be educated, though. But there isn't only one kind of intelligence

Yeah but formal education that these philosophers have
I can see wanting to believe in more. I have impending doom of just being gone along with my family and it gives me terrible anxiety
This is why I'm apatheist
I’ve never heard that term before tbh
*chat is talking about weird shit again*
I personally enjoy listening to lectures from people who have studied a subject for a long time. It doesn't mean that it's the only type of intelligence that should be respected, but it should be respected.
