Well. The Germans are gonna pound your dick in constantly by default unless you railroad them. Historically, and by proxy, game mechanically, the Germans would be trained, well equipped, battle hardened, and zealous. The Russians stand barely a chance by default.

You have to either concede to the historical accuracy and play by historical tactics, or you have to employ your own.

The advantages of the Soviet Union are as true in real life as the game. You take Berlin, Germany falls. If Moscow is taken, the Soviets would only fight harder.

With having the most land, you can trade your land for casualties and pull back long enough to steamroll the germans later on in the war.
