So I was watching the latest video and something occured to me after reading the pinned comment. Why don't creators make a different youtube channel, upload all their videos in private unlisted links, and then content ID claim the video but wait 10 days to dispute it so that they are paid add revenue for the first 10 days the video is up which appears to be the time period where the most views are gained. This would also have the added benifit of making it not possible from what I can tell for Onion Boi to claim the vids him self. I'm not a creator my self so I don't have a lot of xp in this game, but this seems like a logical fix to Youtube's useless system.
Because that's not how the US Copyright Act works.
But they are the legitimate owner of the video.
They made it.
So it's not a false claim exactly. It's just a useless one.
IDK, I came here to just say this.
I thought it was an interesting concept.
It's like telling your self to do something out loud in a really official sounding voice.
I think it still would be considered a false claim
Also why does your pfp look like the woman on the salt shaker thing
Right, but who is going to report you for false claims. You? Clearly Youtube doesn't do it.
And yes it is the Morton Salt logo because I'm a rather salty individual.
nacl
Lol
I left the server by accident
I’m smart
Again, @VonChair , that's not how the US Copyright Act
Implying the copyright act is appropriately enforced anyways
lol
@The Librarian You say that's not how it works. Could you explain what exactly I'm saying that would be in violation?
You can’t copyright claim yourself that’s fucking stupid
That’s like sueing yourself for shooting yourself in the foot
Would you not say the same about what Onion Boi is up to right now? Is it also not fucking stupid?
Yeah it’s stupid
What’s ur point
US copyright law does not seem to outlaw stupid.
That doesn’t make what your saying any less so no offense lol
Yeah but you can’t put a claim on yourself
@Sev3617 , it is when sufficient evidence is provided to establish a violation has occured. What many dont know is that Section 506 (c) and (e) of said Act, covers fraudulant claims of infringement, which Repzion does now know about
?
Yes, but is it fraud to claim content you in fact did make?
Hrm
Yes
But you own it.
Then whatxs the point
Von this isn’t going anywhere
Stop
