honestly im terrified at how mainstream progressivism has become worldwide

my brother "made a scene" yesterday about how i should start censoring my speech

and not how i talk to strangers, but how i talk informally to my close friends

cause "other people can hear your offensive speech when you talk with your friends like that"

all because i said "god id rather break my hand than go to Uni tomorrow"

just threaten to say nigger that'll shut him up

he literally made a big deal cause "saying you would rather break a hand offends sick people"

when ive actually broke my hand in the past

and he made a big deal that those who dont censor their speech and are offensive
are "uncultured" and "low quality people". And that i dont hang out with his high quality friends but "people of low quality".
And he kept making direct insults against my friends saying how all the people that think like me "must be poor, uncultured villagers or brought up by their families in an awful way"

and that "the vast majority of people are politically correct"

so i made a huge debate with him. And he couldnt make a single point against me

and in the end he said:

"Yea everything you are saying is correct....but...idk...but... this isnt about logic or facts this is about feelings so no matter how correct you are i cant change my mind"

and he asked if i would change my mind if he started calling family members and tell them to tell me that he is right
and im like bruh im just gonna tell them the same thing they arent god

my family isnt even progressive he just thinks everyone who doesnt openly challenge his ideas must agree with him

and after i asked many questions he said: "yea i learnt all about this from my school teachers (went to an american private school in my country), my university teachers (liberal university in the US) and the people i interacted with that told me i shouldnt talk like that because its offensive and i hurt people's feelings (his progressive friends)"

SO i asked one last question:

"If a random guy tells you tomorrow X random thing is now offensive would you stop saying it/talking like that? Even if you have nothing to suggest he isnt just trolling you or lying to you?"

"yea cause i dont wanna risk offending people's feelings"

so yea i give up, If these people are truly a majority (which i doubt). We might as well shoot ourselves tbh
