"Rig for Red" is normally a command used in the Control Room. It is normally used when the boat is going to be surfacing or coming to Periscope Depth at night. The purpose is to give the lookouts and the officer designated to head to the bridge upon surfacing a chance for their eyes to adjust to darkness, or the OOD the same thing before looking through the Periscope.

jebus, that hill is geographically impossible looking at the surrounding landscape, it appears to be a dirt pile from tunneling would be my guess. I always thought the imperial valley in California was weird, when I studied it, it showed signs of being under heavy masonic control.

I watched this thing grow from a small pyramid and a staircase while I grew up in the area. It always seemed odd to me, and they called it the center of the world wich didn't help.
@cyborgalien7 That hill might seem geographically impossible, but the coloration of the stone confirms its age. Much of the stone is a reddish brown, sometimes almost black, in the area. But when split open, its pretty much grey. Below is a nearby ghost town/abandoned mine. It was abandoned around 1900. Over 100 years later the tailing piles are still that grey color. I think if that hill was from tunneling, it would be grey as well...unless someone painted it i guess.
