A bit off topic but may prove useful:
Just discovered something in Windows 10 I didn't know about. If you hit the Windows Key + G you will get a gamer console. This console will allow you to record the video from your screen along with the audio. I tested it playing a YT vid full screen and it gave a flawless capture in mp4 format and saved it to your videos folder.

useful...makes pirating videos pretty easy i guess

2019-11-07 03:27:57 UTC

only works with video cards capable of hardware encoding

2019-11-07 03:28:33 UTC

my vid card has hardware encoding so i can do streaming and capture if i wanted to

2019-11-07 03:29:09 UTC

some plugins for software encoding are on windows 10 by default ....it does hog up ur cpu tho

2019-11-07 03:47:32 UTC

To record or stream live anything its going to take a bunch of cpu. I knew about this but i use nvidias recording tool they they offer

2019-11-07 03:56:04 UTC

I got a new machine last year after my old computer died, it's a "gaming machine" so it's pretty beefy. AMD Ryzen 7 3.2 with an RTX 2070. Captured a 30 minute stream as a test, didn't notice any slow downs but I didn't monitor CPU usage

lol and if he isn't convicted we can always flay him later 😛
