@Tervy if you don't realize how big of a vulnerability that is then you're the <:brainlet:589104479887032330>

2019-11-20 19:49:35 UTC

what vulnerability that users are stupid ? or that api is used properly to mitigate pwned day 0 accounts

2019-11-20 19:51:59 UTC

If the password gets hashed in the browser before being send/compared to the server side hash

2019-11-20 19:52:14 UTC

(which is the way it always should be done)

2019-11-20 19:52:34 UTC

Then there's no way to check if the password is already used somewhere else

2019-11-20 19:52:59 UTC

And frankly, but that's just my opinion, I'm sick and tired of those fuckers re using their password for everything

2019-11-20 19:53:03 UTC

client-side scripting is darn easy these days and it goes whole way encrypted to api and back

2019-11-20 19:53:23 UTC

disney gets 0 knowledge if the password was actualy bad

2019-11-20 19:53:34 UTC

clientside just wont allow its usage

2019-11-20 19:54:00 UTC

"Hey, let me just use the same password for banking as the one I use for that random ass shady website"

2019-11-20 19:54:20 UTC

Yeah no. Those that got their Disney+ "hacked" deserve it in full

2019-11-21 04:17:23 UTC

"thousands" doesn't indicate it's disneys fault

2019-11-21 04:17:43 UTC

when it's every customer or a large percentage, then it's disneys fault

2019-11-21 04:18:11 UTC

if you knowingly use a password available in a dump file, you deserve to be "hacked"

2019-11-21 04:18:32 UTC

you wouldn't use a combination lock and set it to "1111"

2019-11-21 04:18:49 UTC

then blame the lockmaker

2019-11-21 04:36:58 UTC

>implying consumers know what a dump file is

2019-11-21 04:37:22 UTC

at least disney could have said invalid passwrod

2019-11-21 04:37:29 UTC

or password not allowed becuase it was hacked or something

2019-11-21 04:37:30 UTC

but nope

2019-11-21 05:32:13 UTC

might be viable since they're a gigantic corporation, but they're also only concerned about profits

2019-11-21 05:32:33 UTC

they can cut the cost of hiring someone who can buy those by just not doing it

2019-11-21 05:33:11 UTC

honestly though, it's a bit like saying "I didn't know I had to lock my bike"

2019-11-21 07:47:26 UTC

This is kind of a stupid question but do bluetooth mouse consume more power on a laptop than dongle wireless mouse?

2019-11-21 07:55:25 UTC

maybe <:thonk:288060975775612929>

2019-11-21 08:27:46 UTC

please recommend some good electric razors

2019-11-21 08:27:55 UTC

the one I ordered is ded, but luckily I can open dispute

2019-11-21 08:30:49 UTC

I got some cheap one in the phillipines, there's probably not a huge difference between them. If it's relevant, get a safety razor instead, they're wonderfully sharp with some fresh blades.

Ryzen9 3950X not compatible with X370

2019-11-21 08:59:54 UTC

Well

2019-11-21 08:59:54 UTC

Wasn't that the promise?

2019-11-21 09:00:07 UTC

To keep it compatible for 2 gens

2019-11-21 09:00:17 UTC

Most boards do not have enough power to run 3950X

2019-11-21 09:00:43 UTC

Isn't it just 105W?

2019-11-21 09:01:29 UTC

That's 10 W more than a stock first gen r7 x

2019-11-21 09:01:50 UTC

Actually I was wrong

2019-11-21 09:03:49 UTC

I bought a high end X370 and top ryzen 7 first gen 2 years ago, assuming that I could jump to the high end zen2 after 2 years

2019-11-21 09:03:54 UTC

I feel sad

2019-11-21 09:04:03 UTC

What motherboard do you have?

2019-11-21 09:04:05 UTC

I understand it doesn't work but that kinda was the promise
