@lidl papi i'm always courteous enough, sometimes they issue partial refunds

2019-11-20 19:04:37 UTC

not everything is dispute worthy you know

2019-11-20 19:14:55 UTC

i'll see how long it takes to get to me

2019-11-20 19:15:07 UTC

it's LE*CN so maybe it's at least epacket

2019-11-20 21:22:36 UTC

What's TWS vs normal wireless earbuds?

2019-11-20 21:49:02 UTC

@timsandtoms tws are completely wireless

2019-11-20 21:49:13 UTC

i mean theres no wire at all, on your shoulders, etc

2019-11-20 21:49:36 UTC

this is also wireless

2019-11-20 21:50:11 UTC

this is wireless as well but tws

2019-11-20 21:51:36 UTC

Ahh. I only started seeing the term in comman parlance recently, long after tws because popular, so I wasn't sure if it was something new, or just codifying what we already had. Thanks for the info.

2019-11-20 21:52:00 UTC

npnp

2019-11-20 21:52:17 UTC

Any real advantage to wireless vs tws? I'm assuming bit harder to lose, easier to damage, possibly better battery life or reception?

2019-11-20 21:52:48 UTC

tws is more compact, suitable for sports, running, etc

2019-11-20 21:52:59 UTC

other ones are mostly for like iems

2019-11-20 21:53:03 UTC

they are called bluetooth modules

2019-11-20 21:53:24 UTC

i'd say they mostly have better sound quality than tws' and longer battery life

2019-11-20 21:53:30 UTC

but depends on your iem, module, etc

2019-11-20 21:54:04 UTC

Gonna push my luck here on asking y'all instead of just Googling, are all of these iem, or is there something specific to qualify as an iem?

2019-11-20 21:54:17 UTC

iem stands for in ear monitor

2019-11-20 21:54:39 UTC

this is an iem for example

2019-11-20 21:54:39 UTC

But monitor vs just normal earpods/earbuds?

2019-11-20 21:54:55 UTC

iems fill your ear canal

2019-11-20 21:54:59 UTC

and fit better

2019-11-20 21:55:05 UTC

and make you deaf sooner

2019-11-20 21:55:09 UTC

:c

2019-11-20 21:55:13 UTC

really

2019-11-20 21:55:48 UTC

well probably not much more than normal earbuds, which are already terrible

2019-11-20 21:55:57 UTC

Ahh, just the shape then, which I assume helps block outside sound and provide better audio, and gives us a chance to argue about bs like if it should be diffused or jammed straight into my eardrum?

2019-11-20 21:56:37 UTC

zoomers are all going to be deaf by age 40

2019-11-20 21:56:43 UTC

yeah, something like that but still it doesnt jams straight to the eardrum

2019-11-20 21:56:56 UTC

@sb057 those are the only options we have tho

2019-11-20 21:57:06 UTC

i dont want to go outside with a full sized headphone

2019-11-20 21:57:20 UTC

so you value fashion over hearing

2019-11-20 21:57:31 UTC

its also about size

2019-11-20 21:57:40 UTC

i mostly use a postman bag
