The entire western world is dependent on Chinese imports, and has hocked their infrastructure and companies to them
I remember seeing some things about Japan wanting to build a nuclear power plant in I think Germany somewhere, but the EU halted it on word of China or something. Basically it just became a drain of resources for Germany and Japan.
