I think Futurama had the best take on God being a holistic consciousness of the entire universe that doesn't give a shit about human beings

2019-10-19 22:33:10 UTC

correct

2019-10-19 22:33:11 UTC

> Public university tells professors not to grade based on merit

2019-10-19 22:33:34 UTC

the universe is built on a few rules, and some things happen as consequence of those rules, coincideing with other things too

2019-10-19 22:33:38 UTC

@Snake Look up Michael Tsarion's "The Irish Origins of Civilization" as a counter theory

2019-10-19 22:33:56 UTC

the thing with 'God' is that its a quick easy representation

2019-10-19 22:34:02 UTC

whether its true or not isnt relevent

2019-10-19 22:34:05 UTC

Sure why not

2019-10-19 22:34:15 UTC

So you’re a Celtic pagan?

2019-10-19 22:34:17 UTC

Not bad

2019-10-19 22:34:19 UTC

id prefer to look at 'god' with lower case and interchange it with Nature essentially

2019-10-19 22:34:21 UTC

Also the book "Sapiens" has an interesting theory on divergent human evolution. That the different races actually originate from different subspecies

2019-10-19 22:34:43 UTC

but das racis

2019-10-19 22:34:44 UTC

"So you’re a Celtic pagan?"

No, but I do have some books on Wicca and Celtic magic.

2019-10-19 22:34:58 UTC

Lol, sure, Boop. Whatever you wanna call it

2019-10-19 22:37:20 UTC

I also think ancient aliens are plausible.

I dislike the idea of ancient aliens because that would mean we didn’t actually do all of this on our own.

2019-10-19 22:38:48 UTC

i dont see these as alien influences

2019-10-19 22:38:50 UTC

@Snake And how is that better than a belief in God or gods doing stuff for us?

2019-10-19 22:39:02 UTC

common symbols among human beings are easily explainable

2019-10-19 22:39:05 UTC

Yeah that’s true

Still a god is better you know

2019-10-19 22:40:06 UTC

that guys good for symbolism explainations

2019-10-19 22:40:14 UTC

JBP talks about the same thingswith Hero stories

2019-10-19 22:40:30 UTC

no need for aliens, people all over the world endured similar problems fundamentally

2019-10-19 22:40:31 UTC

@Boop / 브파 / C'thUwU Certain symbols, structures, and practices appear to coexist in remote parts of the world that allegedly never had contact with each other until relatively recently. So it's either a highly coincidental form of convergent evolution, or it's deities or aliens who can transcend the limits of human mobility from that era.

2019-10-19 22:40:43 UTC
