is the point

Failing to know what's actually going on and defaulting to magical explanations is counterproductive

2019-10-21 18:01:58 UTC

I'm reminded of the theory that there's really only one electron in existence and it just intersects with our dimension everywhere at once.

2019-10-21 18:02:05 UTC

it's not necessarily that it exists in more than one place at a time, it's that it could be in all places at any given time

2019-10-21 18:02:12 UTC

lol

2019-10-21 18:02:17 UTC

How can it do that?

2019-10-21 18:02:19 UTC

magical?

2019-10-21 18:02:22 UTC

its observably true

2019-10-21 18:02:24 UTC

because quantum mechanics is weird lol

2019-10-21 18:02:33 UTC

No its just not understood yet

2019-10-21 18:02:35 UTC

It can do that because that is one possible natural state of it's being

2019-10-21 18:02:39 UTC

We're simply unsure

2019-10-21 18:02:42 UTC

its observably true

2019-10-21 18:02:47 UTC

quantum mechanics is the most verified field of science ever

2019-10-21 18:02:50 UTC

you just dont want to admit it for whatever reason

2019-10-21 18:03:19 UTC

of course, we can always learn more about any field of science, but so far quantum mechanics is the most tested to be true as we know it right now

2019-10-21 18:04:16 UTC

Its more like a willingly identified illusion that an observed fact, just because you cannot track an electron, doesn't mean its in some magical state where its everywhere at once and pops into existence, it just means you cannot track it with the technology of the time

but like I said earlier, attempting to understand dark matter and dark energy is shaking our current understanding of physics

2019-10-21 18:04:47 UTC

@OneTrueGod you are aware subatomic particles can spontaneously teleport yes?

2019-10-21 18:05:03 UTC

quantum teleportation

2019-10-21 18:05:16 UTC

it's not an illusion

2019-10-21 18:05:23 UTC

I don't think they "teleport" that violates several physical limits

2019-10-21 18:05:33 UTC

they quantum tunnel its called

2019-10-21 18:05:38 UTC

but in effect its teleportation

2019-10-21 18:05:45 UTC

it's been called both

They move through something that's not part of currently identified dimensions

2019-10-21 18:06:20 UTC

describing it as tunneling when you're giving an example of it on a 2D picture makes more sense

2019-10-21 18:07:01 UTC

@Windleaf making your problems disappear, one pill at a time

2019-10-21 18:07:34 UTC

one auto-autistically reinforced rule at a time

2019-10-21 18:08:00 UTC

trying to discuss quantum megadingus here without looking at the equations that lead to the understanding is not a healthy discussion

2019-10-21 18:08:10 UTC

It'll all be figured out, eventually

2019-10-21 18:08:11 UTC

but carry on

2019-10-21 18:08:31 UTC

ahahaha

Well maybe

2019-10-21 18:09:10 UTC

Couple of smart people might work it out, one day
