The reason we want to lower American influence is because America is becoming unreliable
Look at Trump for example.
One that isn't literally collapsing like Russia
We can't risk having another Trump randomly popping up
*That's bad for Europe*
That's part of the reason I hate it
They want to move their relations with America into being more comparable with how they treat Russia because Orange man bad
>call into work cuz I don't want to explain a college conflict for my retail job
>now actually have a cold
No, they want to move their relations because they're too dependant on America
And can't risk the stabiity issues that Trump causes.
Reap what I sow
Fuck
THAT is why Europe is moving away from America
Heaven forbid some dude doesn't sugarcoat what he says
Ideally, a more influential Europe will stop America from dicking around in the Middle East as well
Sending more 'refugees' into Europe
Causing MORE stability issues
Or, at least limiting what America is doing
That's the line they are going with but its too quick this is just what's convenient for them
To them.
They are under the false assumption that they HAVE to take anyone in and can't just turn them back US style
Artificial problem
That's international law and EU law
They're bound by it
They can't just ignore it when it's convenient for them
They aren't they cross by a dozen nations to get into the EU
Changing that law is also quite hard
Boats in the Med
Has become the new way
If I were creating foreign policy for the EU then I'd be looking at targeting the Chinese expansion into Europe
EU and Britain are such a mess right now
Goddamn
Through their belt and road initiative
West altogether is a mess
^
The United Front
They're literally expanding towards us, like we did to them during our ages of Empire
Using the same tactics and strategy
I'd be looking to combat that
