But in the process it will elevate your game to people who are sane
And you'll have more sales for it
I would only do so if you aim to go independent and have your own studio
Yeah I plan to self publish .. no one is going to want to touch it, even with a stick. I just want to make a game that I'd like to play.
I reckon we'd all be interested in it. Let me answer your form properly I was only messing around before lol
thank you very much !
What type of game is it?
@Eirshy It's a dark rpg based in a fictional medieval Europe where alchemy actually works
top down / 3d
rpg/horror
isometric?
sort of but not really
i'll take a still
Might be interested depending on how it actually plays. Usually I end up picking female for cosmetic reasons but getting +agi is a valid draw too lol
I'm reminded of how, when ability sets are genderlocked, devs always seem to put my playstyle preferences on females.
Free positioned or hidden grid?
combat is realtime or turn based?
free/turn based
lighting looks pretty nice, Unity?
unreal
working on combat mechanics now
physics?
+graphics at night
So.... very oldschool RPG style, probably most comparable to like, FO 1 or 2?
there will be lots of breakable secondary objects but physics won't play a major role. I have abilities that will knock you out/ make you fly away
fo ?
I mean gameplay not story obviously
Fallout
yeah
Cool, so planning on animating clothes movement and stuff?
yeah that will be in
Art is my bread and butter so I'm leaving it for last xD
I managed to get an ex blizzard concept artist to do some features but I'll drop him as soon as his finishes with the current set, way too expensive
3d art i mean
Nice as for the quest idea. I was thinking about a ghost that had ran an entire village out. So your characters enter this place find clues as to why people deserted. Eventually the ghost starts posessing objects around you. You eventually find out this ghost is trapped in the inbetween. And the quest being optional is that you can capture it within a soul crystal (or whatever object that you would deem worthy) Eventually the quest gives a backstory of a woman who had murdered her husband and kids whilst asleep. The ghost is actually of the husband. A man who cannot move on from such betrayal and loss. And the only way to give him any peace would be to take his soul and capture it within the crystal to release into the netherworld but the twist could be you come across an automation. Think steam punk automations and you find that with the soul crystal you could effectively have the ghost possess this automation and control it. Being an extra character.
I dunno just some ideas from the spreadsheet thing there
The elder scrolls dagger fall sequel sounds like dwarf fortress adventure mode
