lol right? I have some issues every now and then but she still runs like a fucking champ

2019-09-13 18:09:50 UTC

I know it's gonna be my bottleneck in the next couple years

2019-09-13 18:10:10 UTC

Yeah should be alright for another year or so. Ryzen is cheap as fuck though so upgrading wont be too much hassle for you

2019-09-13 18:10:26 UTC

FC5 had an update early this year that makes my entire system tank to black, not even BSOD. Just dumps power entirely and hard shutdown.

2019-09-13 18:10:44 UTC

😂 I remember those day s

2019-09-13 18:10:56 UTC

Only other people I've seen have the issue are also running the 8350

2019-09-13 18:11:01 UTC

Games appearing entirely black not coming on lol

2019-09-13 18:11:14 UTC

No like, not "no video" black,

2019-09-13 18:11:22 UTC

like, whole machine hard powers off instantly black

2019-09-13 18:11:31 UTC

They still got for a decent price the 8530s

2019-09-13 18:11:33 UTC

Never seen it before in almost a decade of doing IT work

2019-09-13 18:11:45 UTC

Gives a whole new meaning to its black edition

2019-09-13 18:11:50 UTC

WHICH FUCKING SUCKS BECAUSE I LOVE FC5

2019-09-13 18:12:10 UTC

Just get a ryzen 5 2600

2019-09-13 18:12:17 UTC

Plays everything like a dream

2019-09-13 18:12:31 UTC

I probably will go ryzen when I do upgrade

2019-09-13 18:12:31 UTC

O

2019-09-13 18:12:43 UTC

fuck intel I'd never go back to it

2019-09-13 18:12:49 UTC

I'm considering just saying fuck it and doing a whole new build from the ground up except for my GPU

2019-09-13 18:13:09 UTC

and retiring this hardware to doing something like DLNA on my home network

2019-09-13 18:13:22 UTC

I think my favourite part about PCs is building them from the ground up. I'd probably do the same when I have to upgrade

2019-09-13 18:13:52 UTC

hardware is, and always has been, the absolute favorite thing about my job

2019-09-13 18:14:10 UTC

I got to cannibalize some parts out of an old laptop to fix like 4 identical models this week

2019-09-13 18:15:08 UTC

Working in tech has its perks. They'd never let me do that on my last job though. And that was Dell of all companies

2019-09-13 18:15:36 UTC

Lol we mostly buy Dells actually for work, but we are hosting some local HS kids to do a career thing next week

2019-09-13 18:15:52 UTC

And we had a stack of "get it out of here" hardware and I considered it a challenge

2019-09-13 18:16:29 UTC

Yeah we mostly supplied businesses I did the marketing and PR but they'd never let anyone take old parts home had to be disposed

2019-09-13 18:16:49 UTC

that's why I love working for a small business

2019-09-13 18:17:05 UTC

What does your company do tech related?

2019-09-13 18:17:40 UTC

the company does mostly QA work, but I'm the only dedicated IT technician for the US

2019-09-13 18:17:55 UTC

I've got a boss who does some tech support and we've got a network eng but that's about it

2019-09-13 18:21:51 UTC

Nice small companies usually treat their workers better

2019-09-13 18:22:12 UTC

Yeah it's a pretty good gig

2019-09-13 18:23:50 UTC

For VR I'd recommend grabbing Big Screen Beta you can play anything on your pc, watch films as if you're in cinema and even 3d content

2019-09-13 18:24:25 UTC

I do think PSVR is better for the multiplayer games but PC is like the wild west atm and we havent got the censorship whiners on us

2019-09-13 18:26:45 UTC

I basically just pirate the games to test them out as theres alot of garbage early access ones

2019-09-13 18:27:11 UTC

If I like it I just buy it but its probably best way to test a ton of games out to see if you like itt
