Yeah, but have you ever been through I80 and the backroads through NV?
Nope
It's like a third-world country, with shanty-towns made of shacks everywhere.
@Jeremy I just had lunch. Food was fkn incredible. Can’t eat another bite. Totally stuffed.
Cost me 40THB which is around $2AUD
This place can run a successful business because 1) Almost zero goddamn regulations. and 2) Good old free market competition responding to a good product.
Thailand is fkn great.
I've seen this out in California, too.
Because it's an inhospitable desert, no?
I can't say I've been to Thailand, Scale_e, but I'm sure everything is magnificent out there. South Korea must be a great environment for business as well.
THB = Thailandese Handjob 🅱ollars
I'm serious, Unfiltered. I wish I had photos from my roadtrip to Cali. I took with my father when he got back from Iraq.
I've never seen anything like it.
I don't doubt that living conditions in rural nevada and california are dogshit
But people shouldn't be living there anyways
It's a goddamn desert
What do they expect?
Reminds me of how they depicted shanty-towns in District 9, where the aliens were living.
Fair enough, but Vegas seemed to develop well, apart from the casinos, but arguably that's all they had to offer and drive their local economy anyway.
Certainly, more land in NV *could* be developed, if the opportunity costs justified.
Vegas is a fucking pit.
It's a complete farce of unsustainable development propped up on casino money. Every single person there would die if they weren't screwing over everyone that comes there for everything they're worth
Even district 9 did a better job of cleaning literal human shit off the street
>when you're so god damn Jewish that you go out into the FUCKING DESERT to build your cheap shit tourist hole just because the land is cheap
Lmfao.
@Jeremy no need for explanation. I was just making sure. It's fucken funny
Lol
Serious, rewatch district 9.
See anyone squatting down in the street laying bricks?
No.
Didn’t think so.
But I mean really the same is true of most of california
That's a rather rational observation, @UnfilteredGarbage, as not many would want to live there anyway.
Were you in LA or SF?
You only see it when you're driving through NV and making your way down I80.
They have this shit out in Arizona, too.
Imagine a population being so up their own ass and arrogant that they construct their cities on:
>a known fault line
>in a desert
>with no natural water source
>surrounded by trees that only gestate during wildfires
I’ve seen footage of the homeless in LA and SF. Literally bricking in the street.
I believe they're mostly illegals living out there.
It's just too bad they never made another Star Wars movie after Return of the Jedi *nods sagely*
And street sweepers going around at 3am cleaning it all up before it gets the midday sun.
