Most are very apathetic if you look at the non biased polls
There is more standing up for than against, but those numbers are not all that big tbh
I remember that poll in the UK that showed 8% as feminist and 30% as explicitly anti feminist so they can't be that cucked
The prevalent attitude I have encountered and read study after study about is "just get on with it or go away"
People appear to just want it to be over
Feminism and BRexit are 2 different subjects, the UK isn't quite like America in that regard where politically you are either rep or dem and agree with everything <:pot_of_kek:544849795433496586>
Hell, even as an *outsider* to the matter I just want it over, too.
I don't want it over in any way that doesn't result in Brexit
cons in the UK are more towards being feminist themselves
As opposed to what's happening with Trump's presidency- let this madness continue for four more years, *please*.
But it demonstrates what the people think
It was a test of democracy nothing more, and democracy failed tbh, the vote was had and the immediate argument was "well we will get a deal anyway" followed up by "they didn't know what they were voting for" "lets do it again to be sure" etc etc
If the will of the people is absolute as the parliamentarians claim than the referendum should of been the finality of it all
Its a test of the government and institutions and representatives
Definite fail
Yeah, from my perspective it's pretty messed up - but the real test is yet to come
These are weird times
Half of the UK Parliment isn't meant to be loyal to a foreign nation
But like I said earlier it was a test that needed to be known, the veil has come off now that we are not truly a democratic nation as we once claimed, and that the institutions and elites of the land will still do their own thing- regardless of what the British people think 🤷
This is the impass they either enforce that or the people do
And is there rioting in the streets like there is in Hong Kong or the Yellow vests in France or civil war like our compatriots in America circa 1776 when they were ignored, of course not, the British people like most of the European people have been made compliant <:pot_of_kek:544849795433496586>
Freedom was traded for slightly better economical conditions a long time ago my dude
I tend to agree that the UK is the frog that will just boil in the pan
Exactly, its not nihilism or anything like that, its the fatalism of apathy, we got more things and are richer than our predecessors and so assume things are better and we don't have to fight for things anymore because it will "just happen"
This is a long winded way of saying the British people like many in Europe are sheep <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>
Its refusal to acknowledge the situation which is possibly a symptom of the medias domination of the narrative
Maybe you're trying to inspire people into action, but it just seems defeatist to me
It is defeatist
I hold the British people in higher esteem than that
Its true but the correct course of action is to try and rial people up
Build outrage
I'm not out to inspire anyone and yes it is totally defeatist, the time for "rising up" has come and gone
You can just as easily bludgeon them into quiet acquiescence
There is still time until its legally impossible to do so
They are already there my dude, quietly doing as they are told and understanding their place in society <:pot_of_kek:544849795433496586>
And you find this funny rather than tragic?
Yes, yes I do
And why should I consider you anything but an enemy
Uh oh guys I have an enemy now <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>
That's a serious question
Ugh
