Every time we intervene more problems are created

there is if you don't want the oil market, and by extension the global economy, to get fucked up

We have oil in the us, Canada, and Venezuela. All that Middle East oil is unnecessary for the us

But the US dollar is tied to the oil market

So buy gold and property and you will be good

That's not how the economy works

If they stop producing oil, the price of oil will go up

Doesn't matter that we produce our own

People outside the country will want to buy it

So the price will go up

Our market isn't a closed system.

Don't get me wrong, I'll be first in line advocating that we cut ties with the Saudi's when oil isn't the main source of energy anymore

Or we could burn coal and sell oil at a huge profit and use the proceed to build a ton of nuclear reactors

I do see a huge potential in hemp oil and geothermal energy

If supply drops elsewhere, the companies will sell more outside

Well we can get Venezuela back online for oil production, the prices are too low to make viable

But if we move beyond oil, then we avoid all the this bs the Middle East

It will involve quite a bit of trade protectionism

The neoliberal economic model will be discarded

I'm all for helping latin america sort its shit so that it stops sending all its problems to us

Yeah but as long as we promise free college and healthcare that will never happen. Hell I get why they come up here

We also need to stop buying drugs in mass from the Latin America that would help a lot too

Stop funding the cartels that ruin people’s lives

helping them develop will cut down on the number of people coming here

But Central America has horrible geography and that will always limit its development
