you can't take someone with downs syndrome and coach them to get a 160 on an IQ test

and it's not only vocab

it's other things like verbal reasoning

most people don't have an etra chromosome

that requires genuine understanding now rote memorisation

because it is measuring something with some impact on person's life

you can train memorization

low IQ people are just worse at this

you can train your brain to be better at tasks

and it cannot be coached

your brain is like every other muscle in your body
