@Stannisthemannis those seem short
2' x 2'
Thigh to neck dude.
Depends on how you intend to use it... many different shield types throughout history
And when crouched it covers about that
See Saxon shields from Hastings for example, thry were about this size and thry were famous for shield walls
you get more mobility with that type, but my understanding is we are looking for a more defensive posture, so a roman style shield is probably better suited.
There is a reason armies evolved from those to smaller shields too
yeah its about mobility, and fatigue over long marches
On a hot sunny humid Virginia afternoon...
luckily we wont be moving anywhere
Hopefully
I also quick detach straps so if antifa grab it to pull me into them I can detach it quickly to avoid being sucked in

thats a good idea
do you have a kevlar?
I do
Also have soft body armor but won't be bringing it. Might see about getting some steel plates for a PC for the stab protection
Yeah I have been debating on wearing a PC, but there is coming really confrontational about it
I'm more worried about knives and tazers than firearms
and we wont have to worry about it
I think they will
Rural VA cops are our people
They hate the left as much as we do
we arent in rural va though
But the VSP recruits from there
yeah hopefully the VSP shows up in force.
They Btfo'd antifa few weeks ago
well yeah, antifa was messing with their guys
They will again...
the klan is so full of feds its not even funny
Here is my plate carrier. In addition to the plates I have purchased some sheet metal heavy enough to withstand puncture from a switchblade or screwdriver and patted it with half of a package of eight and a half by eleven paper. You cannot drive an ice pick through it by hand
Yea. 200$ it weighs about 22 lb with the plates in it I had to cumberbund for the sides as well
I was pricing some out last night, and it was like $350
This place has Spartan armor, same as pictured for $99 per plate in their retail shop, not sure about online but worth a look

I'm saving up for ceramic. Steel is heavy and good green tip 556 ammo punches right through it at 100 yards
AR500 has a lvlIII+ steel that is rated for green tip
my issue with ceramic is that it has a really short shelf life, and it is super easy to break
I fell out the back of a 7 ton and cracked a sapi once. It really cannot take the beating
Have you seen the super light synthetic plates? It's level 3+ or 4 but weighs 3 or 4 pounds?
