this is partially why the german invasion of the USSR was so successful initially
Its not like they did the cold war afterwards lol
because they just jumped on them and destroyed them
there wouldn't have been a neutral state between them
germany would have just taken all of poland
Best irony of the war: Germany's air raid towers couldn't be destroyed by any weapons we used in the war (besides nukes), so they were basically impregnable fortresses.
Unfortunately there weren't enough of them.
again, the USSR could've guarenteed poland
Tfw you invade your own buffer state
or done something
the ussr tried to do something similar
but the allies ignored their request
They wanted other peoples stuff
what do the allies have to do with anything
Like all Communists
what stopped the ussr from saying
the ussr sent a request to the allies to conduct a joint invasion of germany with britain, france, and poland
"germany dont invade poland"
yeah i believe that
that's why they teamed up with germany
yes because the request was ignored
>hey we're scared of the germans
"let's team up with them"
Who in the allies wants to fight all the way into deep Russia
The USSR could've easily said "We're declaring a formal military alliance with Poland. If you invade Poland, we invade you."
yeah, i bet hitler would've not invaded poland
cuz he would have still needed to destroy france
and britain
all he did was give hitler time
He would have just later on
yeah, but he would be fighting a two front war
and the fucking centerpiece of hitler's strategy
or rather, his main goal
was to avoid a two front war
He needed to destroy France and UK and they still dc'd on Russia, lol
yeah
but if stalin was like
"you invade poland, we invade you"
It'd be more aggro
hitler would be forced to fight a two front war immediately
It might even prompt a sooner German invasion
