It's usually not a whole stream of them, just a dead bird every here and there, spread out.

Often they get munched on by a cat or dog that finds them before any humans do.

Single family homes are usually lucky to kill one bird a year, but low rise buildings like banks, shopping centers, tend to kill a lot more.

Especially buildings with large glass panes and no window blinds.

Birds just see a room and try to fly in. Hit glass at full speed. Snap their neck.

Homes only have such a high total because there are so many of them.

Keep in mind, that half the time someone catches their cat bringing a bird home, there's a good chance the bird wasn't killed by the cat but was instead already dead when the cat found it.
