'how long will it take you to get there on 1/2 a tank of gas initially'
or rather, what likely assumptions must hold in order for my estimate to mean anything
Oh, and factoring in estimated fuel consumption and probabilities of success/failure.
yup
i am the ace of 'feeling my way to a solution'
Yeah, that's always fun where the implicit ETA doesn't match the first assumption of average speed of 70 or the current speed limit.
Because that indicates there are patches of slower road.
you have $1000 but your car needs $750 repairs and the Water heater needs replaced, ($600) what do you do?
Replace the damn car.
On credit, XD
borrow someone else's car or swap out hot water heaters
Because that's how consumerism works.
credit and new car aren't options
hence the question
XD. Sorry, had to be a smartass.
lol; understood
they arent really on credit are they?
you get what i mean, don't think most of the kiddies do
least not credit cards
most new cars are on payment plans these days
Oh, absolutely- gotta find a solution to the problem at hand.
the POINT of the excercise is to work within the contraints of the problem
@BabaBooey imagine thinking that all ppl are the same lul
Yeah, and the implication is that vehicles are available etc..
i already stated explictly 'how much money' so that is a fixed var
lol
relying on unprovided information for your problem is retarded
fix car, take cold showers, stop eating out, fix water heater a couple weeks later.
yup, exactly... some terms are given explcitly; others you can go outside the box
you can just gt a gym membership and take showers there
too many academics when give a problem with no solution just 'freeze'
Though, honestly, when I ran into a similar issue, my practical solution was to run said line of credit- and when it was discovered that my credit wasn't well enough established, find a resource that could cosign until that was rectified.
yoiu can also rent cars
for pretty cheap
Rentals add up real fast, though.
Rent cars?
Lol
they don't check each assumption for tolerance in order to find a bandaid long enough for the next permanant fix
'no money avail'
see, luci keeps going back to the 'explict' rather than implict
