So this is going to sound super lame but is there a place online where to talk on microphone with people that like videogames ? I've tried many times to connect with the community but it never clicked for me. I bought many multiplayer games with voice chat support just to find that most people don't use microphones or are from russia or asia or whatever. Other games like LoL and Overwatch i'm just not good enough to compete in ... I've just turned 30 and no one in my life share this interest with me.
Try warframe or path of exile maybe
kinda numbery but fun
In game voice is a no no tho
No one doues that exept like garry's mod
and even the NOPE
i've never seen anything about star citizen till now
this is what everyone is excited about? 😂
28000 for every ship
its being treated like crowdfunding pledges
you pledge x amount you get this ship, you can earn ships in game, but every 3 months or so a new update comes out, which resets your inv as if you had just started an account after buying a ship. Eventually when it is released they said they will stop wiping inventories at each update and you wont be able to pay to buy ships any more
$28000 for pixel ships
you could buy a new car for that
elite dangerous is similar iirc
yeah i wouldn spend that much, especially on a game in alpha
star citizen just sounds like a scam tbh 😂
i guess it could be viable for huge clans or factions or whatever who could have thousands of players to spend that much on capital ships and stuff
and pushed back since 2014
yeah people kept giving them money so they kept promising to add more features which takes more time
eventually they gave up on adding new stretch goals at $65 million IIRC, its at 250ish million rn
what's taking time is all that cocaine they gotta snort
they have so much
crowd funding games are awful because of loose budgets
no one can manage a project with constant increase of budget and no way of knowing when it's going to stop
probably half of the dev time was just trying to get a singleplayer game engine to run an MMO lol
and general expansion, they went from 13ish people to 500+
if you want to crowd fund a game make a clear cut off where the money stops
which is still tiny for a AAA game studio, and even more so for what they are promising
and then run it with a solid and constant budget
or else it becomes clownish
and the project falls in on itself
and that's if you even get funded in the first place
they are gonna use profits from a singleplayer campaign game they are developing rn to fund the main multiplayer game
although im not sure that will be enough
>scam
Meanwhile, they employ a full workforce
And have developed a large amount of content as it is
