like hey "lets try to find a good step-dad"

2019-07-19 07:36:11 UTC

or w/e

2019-07-19 07:36:17 UTC

Yes.

2019-07-19 07:36:32 UTC

people diss on stepdads, but they're good people more often than not

2019-07-19 07:36:49 UTC

Stepmoms aren't necessarily bad either.

2019-07-19 07:37:00 UTC

(more often you're looking for a dad is what i mean)

2019-07-19 07:37:06 UTC

@Goodwood of Dank™ not a goal, but at least finding a proper role model. Youth program instructors and the like, don't try to make them part of your life, just show respect to them and make sure your kid does too. Kids just need a template

2019-07-19 07:37:16 UTC

due to the "woman near always gets custody" thing

2019-07-19 07:37:28 UTC

actually ye

2019-07-19 07:37:42 UTC

anyone who presents themselves as a "respectable authority"

2019-07-19 07:37:46 UTC

Yeah, I hear ya.

2019-07-19 07:37:53 UTC

even the single parent

2019-07-19 07:37:59 UTC

but more than one is always better

2019-07-19 07:38:07 UTC

A good step mom can be harder to find than a good step dad

2019-07-19 07:38:15 UTC

im sure it can be

2019-07-19 07:38:21 UTC

but you're looking for a lot more stepdads

2019-07-19 07:38:46 UTC

Because good men are more willing to be the second husband than a good woman is willing to be a second wife

2019-07-19 07:39:14 UTC

Nowadays, sure. But that's more a modern thing.

2019-07-19 07:39:22 UTC

Thanks to the rise in hypergamy.

2019-07-19 07:39:23 UTC

i suppose i get his point though

2019-07-19 07:39:45 UTC

usually with women its like "i can find a willing husband the first time, why settle"

2019-07-19 07:39:55 UTC

i guess

2019-07-19 07:39:58 UTC

It’s ideal when the child understands why you say no and builds a decision making compass early

2019-07-19 07:40:04 UTC

want the full parenting experience or whatever

2019-07-19 07:40:10 UTC

Unless said husband is quite successful.

2019-07-19 07:40:30 UTC

same could be said of every candidate

2019-07-19 07:40:54 UTC

being a lawyer gains a lot more cred than retail by nature

2019-07-19 07:41:08 UTC

Let them be stupid, within reason. And after they've messed up ask them what whent wrong. If they can't answer than you explain why it didn't work.

2019-07-19 07:41:12 UTC

Being a lawyer is a lot of stress

2019-07-19 07:41:28 UTC

But ya make those fat stacks yo

2019-07-19 07:41:38 UTC

as a parent, you should be willing to punish them if they do stupid shit

2019-07-19 07:41:47 UTC

Seeing my dad practice law growing up is the main reason I never once considered law school

2019-07-19 07:41:51 UTC

but as another note, you better damn well not punish them for things not worthy of it

2019-07-19 07:41:57 UTC

fit to the crime and all thatcrap

2019-07-19 07:42:39 UTC

He only became a lawyer because his dad wanted him to. And I watched him hate his job for 25yrs before he retired.

2019-07-19 07:43:05 UTC

oof

2019-07-19 07:43:19 UTC

better phrase

2019-07-19 07:43:25 UTC

**a successful career**

2019-07-19 07:44:06 UTC

You see, from around 10 I myself started watching politics and reasoning n all this. Kept me from being a bad kid for the most part. That’s why I think kids should learn WHY things are right and wrong, and the consequences involved in real life scenarios

2019-07-19 07:44:36 UTC

99% of people agree

2019-07-19 07:44:44 UTC

I’m not saying that that method would work for all kids
