Canada might be an interesting example as we have the new PPC party and from what I understand there are many NDP (basically socialists) green party (eco socialists) and liberals join a largely 'liberatarian' movement' that has proclaimed free speech to be their number one goal

If you're on the right and are approached by someone on the left, it is a fair assumption these days that they're looking for something to argue over. They're looking to get angry. This is if they open the conversation under the pretense of it being a talk between the left and right. Non political conversations aren't as bad. It's not a good state of affairs. But the right didn't start the personal attacks for political beliefs
