konosuba's protag also actually dies multiple times, where the gods straight up resurrect him saying "try not to die stupidly next time"

2019-08-13 05:38:04 UTC

@Ayylmao is it a de facto deconstruction?

2019-08-13 05:38:17 UTC

i guess so

2019-08-13 05:38:22 UTC

i hope so

2019-08-13 05:38:44 UTC

@Ayylmao you talking about tensei kyuuketsuki-san?

2019-08-13 05:38:57 UTC

i hate the overpowered character mangas

2019-08-13 05:39:01 UTC

dont know about that one

2019-08-13 05:39:11 UTC

whats the fuckin point if theres no obstacles

2019-08-13 05:39:15 UTC

of course you do

2019-08-13 05:39:18 UTC

it is literally

2019-08-13 05:39:20 UTC

a bad plot

2019-08-13 05:39:27 UTC

hero fantasy

2019-08-13 05:39:33 UTC

without difficulty

2019-08-13 05:39:38 UTC

Guy dies irl, reborn as a lazy OP daywalking vampire loli.

2019-08-13 05:39:47 UTC

And all he wants is a nap

2019-08-13 05:39:55 UTC

"oh dude if i was alive back then i woulda done blah blah blah"

2019-08-13 05:40:22 UTC

i should get around to finishing claymore

2019-08-13 05:40:41 UTC

but i do hope it was a deconstruction

2019-08-13 05:40:43 UTC

if it wasnt

2019-08-13 05:40:54 UTC

in konosuba theres actually a wonderful "obstacle"
protag drags a goddess with him to alternate world, in order for her to get back she must help him defeat the final boss
but they end up having a decent enough living condition in the altenate world where they contemplate whether its worth the risk going against the final boss or to just live their new lives as is

2019-08-13 05:40:57 UTC

im gonna be moderately disappointed

2019-08-13 05:41:20 UTC

the goddess is one of the main fuckin obstacles

2019-08-13 05:41:31 UTC

that too

2019-08-13 05:41:41 UTC

everyones a different shade of retarded

2019-08-13 05:43:00 UTC

**remember comrades**

2019-08-13 05:43:16 UTC

you must have suspension of disbelief if watching anything that isnt game of thrones

2019-08-13 05:43:17 UTC

here's a good picture summarizing the party

2019-08-13 05:43:18 UTC

because in the end

2019-08-13 05:43:21 UTC

the heroes always win

2019-08-13 05:43:49 UTC

@Wondabarappa holy fuck i got it mixed up with something else

2019-08-13 05:43:54 UTC

oof

2019-08-13 05:43:56 UTC

I kinda like the ones where they say fuck the main quest, fuck being a "protagonist" and open up like a blacksmiths or potion shop. And where they have allot of diplomacy in the storyline

2019-08-13 05:44:15 UTC

that one is just a parody tbh

2019-08-13 05:44:42 UTC

the main character is objective shit though

2019-08-13 05:44:47 UTC

burn him

id like ones were they actually stick to the "game" side of things, ie you can atually die and come back. ive come to think the "you die only once" or "you die in game you die in real life" stakes are just artificial ways to add failure conditions to a story

2019-08-13 05:46:18 UTC

@Ayylmao i want game of thrones the anime, but good

2019-08-13 05:46:20 UTC

@Ayylmao check out log horizon

2019-08-13 05:46:49 UTC

Trapped in a game with a functional respawn function

2019-08-13 05:47:13 UTC

ive heard people talk about log horizon, but ive also heard others say its horribly generic
