I would say that the better strategy would have been to simply negotiate for the repatriation and resettlement of German peoples back to their own controlled territory, and to play a much longer game and leveraging for the lost territories, but I don't really think there was any particularly great strategy to achieve what the Nazis set out to do, considering the circumstances. They were basically correct, in that the global banking elite were antagonistic to the sovereignty of and independence of their folk, and basically any war which didn't involve a mass uprising in all banking controlled nations to depose this elite was more or less doomed.

So, surprise surprise, they launched a war that didn't involve a spontaneous global initiate to dethrone the banksters, and lost.

I'm not a fan of either. But I do recognize that under specific circumstances, an explicitly authoritarian regime may be preferable to a de facto authoritarian regime which masquerades as something else.

When the person who appears to be in charge is, in fact, in charge, at least you know who to blame for the failing strategies.

No they are the same. ones a lesser that being an Authoritarian. One leads to another just like Liberals lead Socialist and Socialist lead to Communist and then to Fascist's. Then the cycle repeats each form of idea set a president that allows the other idea to flurish.
