If you as an atheist demand nativity scenes to be taken off from courthouse lawns (yeah, COURTHOUSE, not even other, less political governmental property but fucking courthouse itself which implies total oblitaration of 1st Amendment in spirit as USA judicial system is implied to be ruled by Jesus), most Christians would call atheists basically being no fun and that they rather destroy than create. The Christians would say that nativity scenes, Jesus statues, Bible quotes and 10 Rules of Moses belong to courthouse lawns *as does every religious icon of other religions*.
But when atheists actually do what Christians want them to do and "create instead of destroy", and they erect Satanic statues or Flying Spaghetti Monster on the lawn, the Christians go **apeshit** about how anti-Christian it is and how they rather let courthouse be courthouse than a religious carnival. And rather than blaming the first group of Christians, the second group of Christians also blames atheists just like the first group did.
Christianity is still a part of the western culture, deal with it
Why cannot Christians take swords and fight this out ** among themselves**?
@ETBrooD I'm just tired that atheists are turning pro-Christian theocracy now.
They're not
The unity between atheists and Christians that we're seeing right now is purely a stance of... anti-Islam, anti-open borders, anti-communist, and such things
Lol. Maybe it's the cultural context. All I see is Christinity trying to unify with Islam since they worship the same God (just with different understanding on who the prophets are).
And the church promising to house illegal migrants from deportation.
Where do we see Christian-Islam unification?
Insanity, I say, insanity.
Christians are not unifying with Islam, not to my knowledge. They're just humanist, and Muslims are humans.
@ETBrooD Nowhere, since Mudslime don't want it. They are offered all sorts of nonsense about being the Religion of Peace.
Do remember, Religion of Peace is a conservative, Christian newspeak.
It was not by SJWs.
Christian?
Yeah.
When was that?
G.W. Bush
He said Islam is a religion of peace?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ynG7bcH6ss is a compilation of Christian conservativism toward Islam.
watching rn
Also, some parts of Alt-Right is converting to Islam for good reasons. Because they are conservative, reactionary even.
There's **zero chance** of Deus Vult becoming reality again. Only atheists are in a position to go agressively against religion (incl. Islam).
Because atheists see 1st Amendment mostly as "freedom from religion" but Christians see it as "freedom to religion". And because they tie themselves to freedom to exercise instead of freedom to not, they are obligated to defend Islam, at every turn.
Ok, I guess this proves Bush was indeed the useful idiot that he's always appeared to be. Don't need to watch the last minute of the video, this suffices.
But I disagree, from my experience many Christians are arguing vehemently against Islam
There will always be fools who fall for Islam, that's a general stupidity/ignorance problem.
My family is mostly atheist and some of them fell hook line and sinker for it
Because to combat Islamic lunacy, you either curb down the religious lunacy in general (staying within 1st Amendment of not taking sides) or you ... just demand repealing 1st Amendment to create religious freedom to only selected religions (most likely only to Christians).
And the latter is not going to go well.
I guess ya
But I have to say I welcome the alliance against Islam that is happening between atheists and Christians
Alliance cannot happen.
Christians are almost atheistic these days
It is already happening though
Because Deus Vult will have atheists impaled on the spear next to the Mujahideen.
That's fundamentalism
We talking about Christianity, not insane medieval bullshit
Deus Vult **is fundamentalism**.
