You have to point to antecedent concepts in your definition, you are giving examples of power rather than defining it.

I can say one thing with certainty, however; we need to get money out of politics. The way things are now, politicians are often led more by the whims of their donors or fear of the wealth of others being used against them than their ideals.

"the ability or capacity to do something or act in a particular way."

2019-09-09 23:59:58 UTC

thats from google

2019-09-10 00:00:32 UTC

Hahaha

2019-09-10 00:00:41 UTC

when it comes to money in politics i'm torn because they help the right wing but i can see how its morally wrong to centrist people

2019-09-10 00:01:03 UTC

Big debate over "if money is speech"

2019-09-10 00:01:10 UTC

not a topic i'm deep into

2019-09-10 00:01:21 UTC

I guess power is just an incredibly abstract and broad concept.

2019-09-10 00:01:32 UTC

Yep

2019-09-10 00:02:12 UTC

How do we get into the main server?

2019-09-10 00:02:33 UTC

By praying to the Athenian gods idk

2019-09-10 00:03:05 UTC

Just hold your horses.

2019-09-10 00:03:19 UTC

My PP conquered Greece so might be hard for me

2019-09-10 00:03:21 UTC

You all read the rules, right?

2019-09-10 00:03:24 UTC

yes

2019-09-10 00:03:28 UTC

I believe that public opinion should not be tainted by misleading propaganda that gives the wealthy minority a louder voice than everyone else combined. I'd rather the apolitical and uninformed not participate in politics at all than have elections decided by masses of people who only know empty slogans and baseless rhetoric.

2019-09-10 00:03:38 UTC

Then you'll be let in soon enough.

2019-09-10 00:04:08 UTC

great

2019-09-10 00:04:54 UTC

Being able to buy off politicians and use one's ridiculously vast sums of money to determine the outcome of elections undermines the purpose of democracy, if you ask me.

2019-09-10 00:05:12 UTC

I'm not a fan of democracy so when it comes to talking about public opinion im not too bothered

2019-09-10 00:05:42 UTC

however i do not know a good alternative

2019-09-10 00:05:49 UTC

"Democracy is the worst system of government, aside from all the others."

2019-09-10 00:05:58 UTC

ha

2019-09-10 00:06:00 UTC

yes

2019-09-10 00:06:26 UTC

Meh, it depends on what kind of democracy you're talking about. I favor a Constitutional democracy that secures individual rights.

2019-09-10 00:06:27 UTC

Churchill has some bomb quotes

2019-09-10 00:06:47 UTC

Yeah but over time democracies go further left wing

2019-09-10 00:07:26 UTC

That video sums up well why i don't like democracy

2019-09-10 00:07:30 UTC

'Tis why I dislike politics of money and propaganda; elections should be decided by merits, not marketing.

2019-09-10 00:07:49 UTC

who determines metric

2019-09-10 00:07:52 UTC

merit

2019-09-10 00:07:57 UTC

Exactly.

2019-09-10 00:10:55 UTC

We the people. Big brained individuals.

2019-09-10 00:10:59 UTC

That's why democracy is the least worst system; the masses do. But when politics become devoid of substance and instead simply turn into screaming matches and et cetera, the masses' judgment is tainted. I'd rather have the uninformed not care and those who are informed cast their votes based on rational evaluations of each candidate's merit. Instead we're getting closer and closer into turning government into some reality tv drama, 'cept it determines the fates of millions of people.

2019-09-10 00:11:04 UTC

big brained boi

2019-09-10 00:11:30 UTC

pathos becomes superior to logos

2019-09-10 00:11:50 UTC

people care little for real policies
