Cutting in line is still rude.
not disagreeing; only pointing out that those with a particular mindset will never see it that way
Never is too harsh a term.
Too pessimistic for my taste.
can't argue that directly, best to argue indirectly to get that point accross
for example, she wouldn't like to have to hold the door or take out her own garbage etc. until she realizes those things are the other side of the coin, she'll always blame it on the individual for being rude
pessimistic? nah, it's just a mutual exclusion that has alot to do with expectations we learn as kids
Nah, she was going through security a while after I was waiting for my food.
Rather, waiting to order my food.
women as supposed to do A and men are supposed to do B. We all have different notions of what A and B are BUT we don't respond well when a person strays from that category and if A and B don't balance out in the end, well, it doesn't work the moment you add any stress
expecting her to wait is just unrealistic if she is a traditional Latina
I caught the panicky footfalls that became determined and made a beeline to rescue.
that is like expecting a German to be more emotional than logical and autistic
Lol, it's not an expectation- it's a demand.
it's still an expectation
Wait your friggin turn.
the best you can do is disassociate
Just going for the twist on words.
Wanted the easy pun, and you're trying to steal my fun.
lo
opps
And then the poor cashier apologized for the gal's rudeness.
Which was, too, ridiculous.
Funniest instance of that was that hispanic males expect a woman to explictly declare 'you are my man' and police that effect OR.. it's a green light to chase others
when you have an american girl and a hispanic male, the signals get crossed
"You've nothing to apologize for. Now, where were we..."
One of them understands the cultural difference. The other does not.
And women are the only ones that can point out that another woman's expectations are inappropriate
Oof, presumably the vague language either has an implicit answer *or* it's an either/or open ended for possiblity.
THAT more than anything is what is missing today
Or you just jumped rails and I missed it.
women with more wisdom telling other women that they are expecting TOO MUCH
Apologies, I'm also a bit unsocialized right about now. >.>
if a guy points out it is 'her' she will automatiically conclude he is trying to make an exception for himself
It's a line!
You queue up in the line.
That's how lines work!
