hi newhere

2019-11-29 23:12:07 UTC

I'm new here 2

2019-11-29 23:12:28 UTC

where is new here 3 when we need them?

2019-11-29 23:12:30 UTC

Is Hazbin Hotel considered weeb?

2019-11-29 23:13:07 UTC

I wouldn't have thought so, it's western animated isn't it?

2019-11-29 23:13:21 UTC

weeb is normally an exclusive anime related thing, to my understanding

2019-11-29 23:13:59 UTC

Hello y'all

2019-11-29 23:14:20 UTC

hello

2019-11-29 23:14:26 UTC

hi

2019-11-29 23:18:53 UTC

well i will likely be lurking around for a while at the very least, waiting to see what interesting topics come up.

2019-11-29 23:19:22 UTC

So, the camp is still buzzing, hm?

2019-11-29 23:19:41 UTC

depends on what you find interesting.

2019-11-29 23:20:00 UTC

few people find similar things interesting.

2019-11-29 23:20:16 UTC

I find lots of stuff interesting, but I only have a few things i tend to activly think about.

2019-11-29 23:20:41 UTC

mostly "things I would like to build but will never have the resources to build"

2019-11-29 23:20:59 UTC

ah, so stuff like smithing swords then?

2019-11-29 23:21:31 UTC

sounds like an interesting enough starting point, I imagine building things would be a common enough interest

2019-11-29 23:21:49 UTC

close, I would like to build an engine form raw stock but I have no experience in anything of the sort.

2019-11-29 23:22:08 UTC

well neither do

2019-11-29 23:22:15 UTC

unfortunately

2019-11-29 23:22:43 UTC

found some guy on youtube rebuilding a really old CAT engine and thought "that looks simple enough"

2019-11-29 23:22:54 UTC

lol

2019-11-29 23:23:29 UTC

the combustion process that engines use is simple in concept.

2019-11-29 23:23:31 UTC

@-@

2019-11-29 23:23:40 UTC

well, to be fair those old engines were very simple, i'm lucky enough to be driveing a truck older then me for work right now.

2019-11-29 23:23:43 UTC

in practice, it takes some machining

2019-11-29 23:23:57 UTC

ooh

2019-11-29 23:24:45 UTC

as far as engines go I find myself wondering why we don't see the valve train being done by electronics rather then haveing a cam shaft.

2019-11-29 23:25:17 UTC

I know the tech is out there and it seems like it would make the engine easy to tune, and it could be tuned on the fly.

2019-11-29 23:25:37 UTC

hmm

2019-11-29 23:25:43 UTC

interesting concept

2019-11-29 23:26:14 UTC

I never really given any thought to engines except for maintaining cars.

2019-11-29 23:27:28 UTC

that's fair, I kinda want to be able to do my own work on my own truck but the electronics are a bit overwhelming for me, mostly because the wireing is a rats nest in most everything.

2019-11-29 23:27:45 UTC

oh yeah

2019-11-29 23:27:58 UTC

especially when it comes to building a PC

2019-11-29 23:28:17 UTC

the wiring gets everywhere

2019-11-29 23:28:32 UTC

even though I would still take it to a shop most of the time, it's nice to know how it is built and wired so I can take a good guess at what is wrong.

2019-11-29 23:29:00 UTC

at least in a PC everything is more or less standardized.

2019-11-29 23:29:06 UTC

mmm

2019-11-29 23:29:09 UTC

I guess so

2019-11-29 23:29:40 UTC

When you're picking parts you have to make sure that the CPU and PSU and Motherboard
