but we still are united by Country

2019-11-30 00:17:01 UTC

well that was a good conversation

2019-11-30 00:17:57 UTC

I mean, both are short for pickup truck so it's just a different perspective I guess.

2019-11-30 00:18:01 UTC

i'm trying to find a road sign that is the perfect example of discrimination against trucks.

2019-11-30 00:18:16 UTC

lol

2019-11-30 00:18:33 UTC

I know the sign i want, I know the pice of highway it's on.

2019-11-30 00:18:37 UTC

I know those max clearance for highways

2019-11-30 00:18:40 UTC

I have no idea how to quickly search for it.

2019-11-30 00:18:55 UTC

We also call semis wagons (when we're not calling them trucks), and what you call wagons we call estate cars

2019-11-30 00:18:59 UTC

no, not maximum clearance, those at least make sense.

2019-11-30 00:19:39 UTC

you gotta have a height limit at some point, and the industry is going to build that high.

2019-11-30 00:19:49 UTC

yeah

2019-11-30 00:19:52 UTC

hmm

2019-11-30 00:20:14 UTC

there are signs that force trucks to move into a certain lane in Kentucky

2019-11-30 00:20:38 UTC

but thats for tolls so they don't slow down general traffic

2019-11-30 00:20:48 UTC

yah, those ones, as well as haveing 10mph lower speed limit.

2019-11-30 00:21:01 UTC

yeah

2019-11-30 00:21:17 UTC

a semi should go as fast as possible

2019-11-30 00:21:18 UTC

Over here that's standard, anything towing can only use the first 2 lanes when its three or (rarely) four wide. That includes cars with trailers etc.

2019-11-30 00:21:35 UTC

so the little ones don't fuck with the big bois

2019-11-30 00:21:48 UTC

but it makes sense

2019-11-30 00:22:05 UTC

with highways in the mountains

2019-11-30 00:22:49 UTC

But it's illegal to undertake and it's enforced, and we don't have exits in the middle of motorways/freeways, just on the edges with either a bridge or underpass to get to the other side

2019-11-30 00:23:07 UTC

here in BC canada they can get in shit for passing. hella dangerous when they're going half the speed limit uphill

2019-11-30 00:23:19 UTC

in most states in the US trucks can only use the 2 right most lanes.

2019-11-30 00:23:25 UTC

most of our exits are on the right

2019-11-30 00:23:26 UTC

for what ever dumb reason.

2019-11-30 00:23:27 UTC

yeah

2019-11-30 00:23:39 UTC

I love NH cuz they don't care at all.

2019-11-30 00:23:50 UTC

not in Ohio i don't think

2019-11-30 00:24:24 UTC

if they weren't being taken over by mass I would move there, the license plates there say "live free or die"

2019-11-30 00:24:44 UTC

also they have liquor outlets where most places would have highway rest areas, so that's funny even though i don't drink.

2019-11-30 00:25:14 UTC

lol

2019-11-30 00:28:18 UTC

well i give up, i'm just gonna explain the situation on the "Atchafalaya Basin Bridge" in Louisiana.
it's a 2 lane each way highway bridge that goes over a swamp or something.
a straight line for nearly 20 miles.
Speed limit is 60, unless you are a truck then it is only 55.
also trucks MUST stay in the right lane.

2019-11-30 00:29:08 UTC

it's really just a trap for truck drivers because they know that you won't try and fight the fine and you don't live there to get the rules changed.

2019-11-30 00:29:23 UTC

lol

2019-11-30 00:29:47 UTC

thats an oof

2019-11-30 00:30:22 UTC

Truck Drivers are oppressed

2019-11-30 00:30:54 UTC

that they are, I wish i could make anyone complaining about being oppressed learn what they have to put up with everywhere.

2019-11-30 00:30:58 UTC

but you know who is more oppressed than truckers, Kekestnies

2019-11-30 00:31:03 UTC
