We were shooting rabbits at a deer lease and there was a caliche pit near one of the oilfield roads and we were hauling ass past it in a ranger and this fucking deer looking thing was standing on two legs and looked at me while we went by. It kinda had human mannerisms.

So, I had heard of the Skinwalker, which in Navajo is called Yee Naaldlooshii. I thought "I don't believe in this nonsense". According to legend, if you merely say their name aloud, it will summon them, and they bust through your doors and windows and murder everyone inside. So naturally, being an unbeliever, I said "Yee Naaldlooshii" several times. I thought I heard a banging on the front door, but very faint, because the front door was downstairs and I was upstairs. I was spooked af and started praying for God to protect my family. Then I calmed down a bit and the banging got quieter. I realized that the banging was my own heartbeat and felt like a total idiot lol

I read a cap the other night from a few years ago about a GSGT that got forwarded to a /k/ thread on skinwalkers/general nope stories via some survivalist forum. Anyway he was out in the desert outside 29 stumps hiking, came across a ravine and heard a "help me, help me!" in a childs voice. Ran over to the ravine to see what he could do, decided he could rope down to whoever needed help. As he leaned over the smell hit him and he saw something much, much bigger than a child move around below. Ditched the rope and his kit to run, only his rifle left. Rotary mag .357 Ruger or something I think. Something big was coming after him. Made it out safe.

Few months later that year a guy posted saying that he saw the story for the GSGT around the web and knew the guy, worked under him as a Corporal and deployed together twice. Said he had basically lost his shit, etc, told his men to stay out of the desert and not to hike there. Fast forward a bit and the pregnant wife of a Marine told her husband she was going out there to take photos and whatnot. She didn't come back. They searched for her for days until she was found in the same ravine. Some guy got charged with her murder over jealousy, rest is history. Interesting stuff. All just a tl;dr from what I'm remembering now.
