Historically academia has changed and adapted to the needs of businesses and jobs. For 120ish years ~~don't recall the exact amount of years~~ academia hasn't changed much since the industrial era. From what I found from poking around public education systems are looking to implement practical certifications for needed skills in the workplace.
oooh sorry scrye.
above was meant for you.
Ah, I though we’re speaking about movie academia 😅
I'm building off my own earlier comments on media, academia, and hollywood
why is this nun so angry, jesus
yeah to be honest having certifications on various industry skills can be more beneficial than going through a bachelors sometimes
I see, I see. I jumped to the chat in the middle while watching Once upn time in a west
I wanna get certifications after I graduate to bolster my resume even harder
oh man no spoilers, havent seen it yet
Professional trade's require skilled expertise. That's largely responsible for the proliferation of scholarly academia. It's also why the overwhelming majority of industries expect applicants to present proof of higher education via degrees and certifications, or demonstrate a history of favorable experience within their field of study.
