I think Eric Weinstein probably has a fairly reasonable take on it that, a rich elite class have been using immigration to drive wages down and consolidate wealth onto themselves

Also, most people aren't brought up to think of employment as a contractual agreement between two parties, probably part of that is because of cheap labourer alternatives that would do the job in their place if they say no

that's what annoys me about labour unions in america advocating for free movement of labour and the kind of immigration reform that would bring in more people -- it's a position just to make union members dependent on THEM (the union) for their quality of life. it's insidious.

on the college debt topic I see above, Sitch and Adam, brought up on their last stream college debt securities as investment options -- and how it seems that student debt not dissolving with bankruptcy is just a means of insuring those debt investments to create wealth for wallstreet and banking firms. -- seems an interesting point to me
