theyre also going full voter fraud

2019-11-22 01:37:24 UTC

i listened to most of his crap in the car

2019-11-22 01:37:53 UTC

predictably in front of students, the only people naive enough to think this is reality

2019-11-22 01:38:02 UTC

I bet most 16/17yr olds get their poll cards and just think, oh the gov must send these out to everyone

2019-11-22 01:38:29 UTC

only about 800 or so have come forward so far asking "why am I receiving a poll card?"

2019-11-22 01:38:52 UTC

wait - what happened?

2019-11-22 01:38:59 UTC

actual amount is probably about 100x that amount

2019-11-22 01:39:00 UTC

i was stuck in a noisy datacentre most of the day

2019-11-22 01:39:16 UTC

wtf!

2019-11-22 01:39:36 UTC

loads of uni/colleges signed up all their students without their knowledge

2019-11-22 01:39:58 UTC

that is massive fraud

2019-11-22 01:40:29 UTC

the electoral commission has launched an investigation

2019-11-22 01:40:49 UTC

but tbh... what can they do really.. the damage is mostly done

2019-11-22 01:41:13 UTC

most likely in a few days tens of thousands of kids will get a postal vote letter

2019-11-22 01:41:34 UTC

this isnt on the bbc at all

2019-11-22 01:42:05 UTC

well they must know who they sent cards to - so cant they just refuse all the bad ones?

2019-11-22 01:42:33 UTC

I dont think its that easy

2019-11-22 01:42:56 UTC

and they probably signed each kid up twice... once for uni and once for their home address

2019-11-22 01:50:17 UTC

I can confirm when I was at university in leicester... i received poll card in halls of resident when I didn't register myself

2019-11-22 01:51:10 UTC

also international students (Chinese, Ugandan and indian) were recieving poll cards. Who were staying in the UK on a student visa ....

2019-11-22 01:51:59 UTC

When some international students asked on facebook if they were 'allowed', other students on mass said vote anyway....

2019-11-22 01:52:01 UTC

:\

2019-11-22 01:52:04 UTC

scary future

2019-11-22 02:00:10 UTC

be funny if most of them were like... "ok cool, I like these tory guys"

2019-11-22 02:01:00 UTC

can imagine hong kong and indian students preferring tory

2019-11-22 02:01:21 UTC

they came to britain... so they must like the country

2019-11-22 02:02:01 UTC

Yeah, I was post grad for Brexit vote, The week before I invited everyone I knew out to celebrate the result. Assuming leave would win

2019-11-22 02:02:26 UTC

The only 3 people who came were the chinese, ugandan and indian and 40 white british students removed me from facebook

2019-11-22 02:07:35 UTC

lets just raise the voting age

2019-11-22 02:08:26 UTC

double it.. 36 😛

2019-11-22 02:10:17 UTC

Only people with at least 1,000hours in Europa Universalis 4 should be allowed to vote 😛

2019-11-22 02:10:58 UTC

Raising voting age wouldn’t work people would protest

2019-11-22 02:11:05 UTC

would be interesting though... to put out a referendum on what age people should be able to vote at... one of the ranked voting ref votes... so like
a) over 16
b) over 18
c) over 21
d) over 25
and you give each one a score of 1 to 4

2019-11-22 02:11:07 UTC

Blimey cant type tonight

2019-11-22 02:11:24 UTC

I don’t want to hear “you’re 14”

People would protest since you’re taking some of their voting rights away

2019-11-22 02:11:36 UTC

Should stay at 18 tbh

2019-11-22 02:11:41 UTC

Legal age to be an adult

2019-11-22 02:11:57 UTC

Voting should match age of becoming an 'adult'

2019-11-22 02:12:07 UTC

Unless we are changing that just keep it at 18

2019-11-22 02:12:18 UTC

I dunno if voting is a right... or a privilege
